At Kāholo Manufacturing Co., our mission is simple: to bring apparel manufacturing back to Hawaiʻi by empowering local designers, artists, and small businesses. We’re here to help you turn your ideas into thoughtfully made, island-rooted products — with aloha at every stitch. The name Kāholo holds dual meaning. In Hawaiian, it means “to sew with a long stitch,” but it also refers to a hula step — a movement forward. That’s the essence of what we do: we move ideas forward and stitch dreams into reality.
Born from Need. Built with Purpose.
Kāholo started when our founder couldn’t find local manufacturing support to bring her own designs to life. What began as a solution for friends turned into a movement — a thriving, local operation helping Hawaiʻi’s makers launch and scale responsibly.
Our team is experienced, passionate, and values-driven — including a master pattern maker with over 50 years in the industry. We take pride in working closely with our clients, offering low minimums (just 100 pieces per design), sustainable practices, and personalized guidance throughout the entire process.
Our Kuleana
We believe clothing should be more than product — it should be a reflection of culture, connection, and care. That’s why we:
-
Encourage zero-waste cutting and mindful design
-
Support Hawaiʻi’s economy by keeping production local
-
Mālama ʻāina through responsible manufacturing methods
Whether you're just starting out or ready to grow your brand, Kāholo is here to help you create something meaningful — and made in Hawaiʻi.
Made in Hawai'i, for Hawai'i.
